Project Future
We strongly believe mentoring is one of the major tools for success in education and career development. Therefore, we have developed a mentorship program aiming at connecting students and potential mentees with graduates and potential mentors to assist in academic planning as well as career development. Our mentors are all volunteers who have had to overcome challenges to achieve their academic and career goals…
More InformationKurdish Community Directory
Our community has flourished in the recent years with successful entrepreneurs and small business owners. Our goal is to gather all of these entities and combine their contact information, business and locations in an accessible database within our website. We want to provide our community access to connect with these small businesses electronically and provide those outside of our community a framework for what we have to give in regards to business. The possibilities to venture outside of our own circles are endless and we want to help contribute to the growth and sustainability of our Kurdish businesses. Please consider your small businesses as one of these resources and reach out to us to be added to the Kurdish Directory.

Graduation Picnic
Summer 2019
On Sunday July 7, 2019 the Kurdish Professionals group hosted the second annual graduation picnic to celebrate the local high school and college graduates. The event was brought together by many generous Kurdish businesses who helped provide food, supplies and monetary donations for scholarships. During this event we were able to provide a wonderful lunch to over 200 attendants that day. The picnic also provided the opportunity to highlight high school and college graduates. Over $2000 in scholarships were handed out to graduates! We also had a number of guest speakers who provided their own wisdom and knowledge about academia. We hope to continue this tradition of hosting a picnic each summer to provide more scholarships and opportunities to our community.
Bonfire
Winter 2017
The Kurdish Professionals Group hosted a bonfire for the youth on December 1, 2017. The goal was to create a venue for the local youth to gather and to collect nonperishable food items for the Islamic Center of Nashville’s (ICN) Blessing Box. The Box is placed outside of the mosque and carries food items/toiletries for those in need. It was a great opportunity to help our community by giving back and getting together to relax. Our goal was to fill a medium sized box to give to the ICN. We succeeded our goal by donating 2 huge boxes. Thank you to all those you donated and a special thank you to Super Styles Barber for sponsoring the event and Peshmerga LLC for the surplus of items
